Award-winning design, one-of-a-kind, stained glass kaleidoscope, signed by artist. This scope is a kevel spinner kaleidoscope that spins on a horizontal plane. The sculptured wheel on the end creates the images within the scope, when it is turned horizontally. The scope is about 10" long from the eye piece to the end of the wheel. The sides are about 1 inch and the dragon's horns sit about 5 inches from the surface of where the feet are. This is a dragon kaleidoscope. The Dragon sits on a beautiful light peach iridescent glass. Iridescent glass is a highly reflective glass with a rainbow-like sheen . The dragon scales are a pink and blue "puddles".***and its head is a peach iridescent glass The wings are pink opaque glass and blue cathedral glass. The dragon is "fire- breathing" a red cathedral glass. The entire scope is hand made by this artist, including the fused glass pieces with their dichroic glass. The fused glass was made by this artist in her kiln and then incorporated into this one-of-a-kind scope. The wheel on the end has a black and clear "puddle"***, a pewter castle, a brass unicorn, a pewter dragon and a pewter jail-key ring. There is also a clear dangling crystal which provides additional movement in the viewing field. The last pictures are actual views through the scope. Can you find the Gothic and medieval items? ***Puddles are created by Nedra by layering glass and then melting the layers together. Next, that layered piece is broken up and each piece placed on its side and melted into unique puddles. Nedra's scopes are now featured in several kaleidoscope stores, both in Arizona and in New York. The scope ships free within the United States.
