Spencer Browning & Co. London Box Sextant

Early high-quality, functioning box (pocket) sextant by Spencer Browning & Co. London. With its cylindrical body composed of solid bronze, this fine sextant features an adjustable index arm, magnifying lens, 2 mirrors, green and red filters, a collapsing singe draw telescope, and a silvered Vernier scale (which is marked 0-140). Complete with matching bayonet fitted lid. Circa 1860-1870. All original glass/lenses are intact with no cracks.
