We live on a ranch and I use these for surveillance and to just observe the mountains and general area so my use is long range. My normal viewing distance is between 300yd (my gate) and 10000yd (the peak of a mountain I watch).
Bird Watching
Love the magnification. It is excellent to watch wildlife and backyard birds.
If you happen to be a nosey neighbor, it is good for that too.
You will THRILLED with this product. I, both, hand-hold these and mount them to tripod/monopod with an additional Staopics tripod adapter. The 20x50 power is perfect to few images from across the street to a city-block away.
